In fact every episode some series-long character is revealed to have had a sinister secret that's convenient to the plot at that moment in time. S and Delphine are good guys then bad guys again. I don't know why Leda and Castor are even against each other. I don't know the difference between Topside, Dyad, Neolution, Proletheans, and whatever's up with the military woman, or what any of them have to do with each other. I don't know who is a good guy or a bad guy.
The plot at this point, however, has become so increasingly tangled in its own convoluted web that it's boring and not worth my effort anymore to try and figure it out. If I ignore the overarching mystery, Orphan Black is still as good as it used to be solely because of Alison, Helena, and Cosima.
